Fall 2026 anime season guide: premiere dates and where to watch

The Fall 2026 season starts in earnest in the first two weeks of October, and our calendar already tracks 70 shows for it. It's a sequel-heavy season: a mystery favourite's third season, a long-absent shounen giant, a sports romance and a JoJo part that is already airing. Here's what's coming, when it starts and where it streams legally.

How to read this guide: premiere dates are the first episode on our calendar, shown as UTC dates, so a show can land a day earlier or later where you live — every detail page shows the exact time in your own time zone. Platforms are official streaming links only. The season hasn't started for most shows yet, so we only quote AniList community scores for the few that are already airing.

The biggest returns

• The Apothecary Diaries Season 3The most-followed show of the season. After the Shi Clan's rebellion, Maomao is back at work as a pharmacist in the pleasure district — until a breakfast at the Verdigris House gives her a new mystery to pull on. Premieres 2 October on Crunchyroll.
• Black Clover Season 2The TV series returns for the first time since it wrapped in 2021 — the season's biggest comeback on paper. Premieres 3 October on Crunchyroll.
• Blue Box Season 2The sports-and-romance hit continues; if you like your romance slow and your training montages sincere, this is the one. Premieres 4 October on Netflix.
• JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run — 2nd & 3rd STAGEAlready airing since 24 September and the best-rated show of the young season (AniList 85%). Johnny and Gyro take on the desert crossing known as the "Devil's Palm", across 11 episodes. On Netflix.
• Tokyo Revengers: Santen Sensou-henThe sequel to the Tenjiku arc. Premieres 2 October; official streams are listed on YouTube, where availability varies by region.
• Dragon Ball Super: BeerusRevisits the moment Beerus, the God of Destruction, wakes up and goes looking for the Saiyan who beat Frieza — the story that opened Dragon Ball Super. Premieres 11 October; no official stream was listed when we wrote this.

Sequels worth catching up on

• Aoashi Season 2Ashito makes the elite A team and hits a harsh new reality. A long 24-episode season, so there's time to catch up on the first one. Premieres 4 October on Crunchyroll.
• Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2A good example of why premiere dates disagree between sites: each episode streams on Abema a week before its TV broadcast, so it appears on our calendar from 30 September (UTC) while regular broadcasting begins 8 October. On HIDIVE.
• Ranma ½ (2024) Season 3The remake's third season. Premieres 3 October on Netflix.
• Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls ArcShiki goes after Yaoroshi, who has joined the Oni Brigade, and the trail leads to a research facility above Kegon Falls. Premieres 2 October on Crunchyroll and YouTube.
• OvergearedAlready airing (AniList 72%). An unlucky low-level player finds a legendary class in the VR game "Satisfy" and becomes a master blacksmith — adapted from a hit Korean web novel. On Crunchyroll.
• Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle — 2nd courThe second half of the romantic comedy. Starts 13 October on Crunchyroll.

New series

• Firefly WeddingA nobleman's daughter with little time left to live becomes the target of a mysterious assassin — and makes a desperate bargain to survive. The season's most-followed new drama-romance. Premieres 9 October on Crunchyroll.
• PSYRENA high schooler picks up a mysterious red phone card, his childhood friend vanishes, and a string of disappearances across the country pulls him in. A late-2000s Shonen Jump series finally gets its anime. Premieres 5 October on Crunchyroll.
• Magic Knight Rayearth (2026)A new adaptation of the CLAMP classic: three schoolgirls on a trip to Tokyo Tower are summoned to save the world of Cephiro. Premieres 7 October on Crunchyroll and YouTube.
• Nia Liston: The Merciless MaidenAn undefeated hero who died in bed wakes up in the body of a frail young girl. Premieres 6 October on HIDIVE.
• Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru!A 12-episode student-council comedy about a boy who joins to avoid repeating a year and finds a room full of eccentrics. Premieres 3 October.

One-off releases

Two titles are listed with a single episode rather than a weekly run, so treat them as one-off releases rather than something to follow week by week:

• Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear FriendThe Rascal Does Not Dream story continues after Mai's April Fools' confession about the internet singer Touko Kirishima. On the calendar for 15 October.
• To You in the BeyondA boy transfers to a school on a remote island and finds an unconscious girl at an inlet where people are said to disappear. On the calendar for 8 October.

The easy way to keep up
